@ Van Insurance : People Keep Trying to find A better way To Fuel Their Car
January 27th, 2012Van Insurance : Folks are tired of fuel rates, but don’t know how to proceed about it. Those that can pay for it are buying fresh, fuel-efficient cars in an endeavor to control their fuel spending. It wasn’t that sometime ago that fuel prices increased around the world. This article is centered on alternative fuels for our vehicles.
When you talk about alternative fuel, you are basically talking about any fuel other than gasoline or diesel. Cars have recently been using electricity, solar power and cross, which is a combination of gasoline and electric. Now there are even cars using water-to-gas technology, which means they can supplement their gas by utilizing water. There have been several reasons why governments and manufacturers took the initiative to produce vehicles that use fuel other than fossil fuels. Europe has tightened environmentally friendly laws, and added taxes to fuel, so manufacturers had to accomplish something. There may even be further restrictions on the emissions of greenhouse unwanted gas.
Since fossil fuels produce skin tightening and, and that is a greenhouse gas, and most cars operate on fossil fuel gas, our atmosphere is getting worse. This is resulting within climate changes, especially raising temperatures, and contributing to worldwide warming. You might not even know that we now have cars that are operating on hydrogen, fuel cells, solar power, LPG, and ethanol. LPG is liquified petroleum gas, and cars running on it are running on a mixture of butane and propane. When compressed, its hydrocarbon gases use liquid. Not only will cars running on this reduce carbon monoxide emission, but cut fuel expense by 50 percent compared to diesel and gas.
There are cars that use solar power panels to make electricity out from the sunlight, and then use the electricity to perform an electric motor, or produce another fuel like hydrogen. The solar panels are usually on the top of the vehicle. Other cars use ethanol, which comes from crops. Crops with high amounts of carbohydrates, or plants with high amounts of sugar are fermented to create alcohol. Brazil uses sugar cane to produce ethanol, and have replaced 2 hundred, 000 barrels of oil daily. They have reduced their particular toxic emissions by over 30% with their ethanol powered cars. There is another kind of car that uses fuel cells, which produce electricity and heat out of hydrogen and oxygen. These type of cars would be the cleanest to run, because they only produce water vapor and warmth.
Hybrid cars, such as the Toyota Prius, use a couple of different sources of energy. The advanced technology they use combines an electrical motor with a small gas engine. It uses both of them at various times, like the electric motor when going slow rates. Traveling at freeway rates, both are being used and also the battery is being charged at that time also. Resolving environmental concerns is the goal of adapting to higher fuel costs by exploring alternative sources for energy..
